Kent's the clinical brain, a dentist for over five years across four group practices and hospitals. A productivity fan who'll happily admit he's no good at admin, he'd rather be face to face with the patient than looking down at a keyboard. He'll optimise everything in his life except his own inbox. Outside the clinic he's usually learning something new, tinkering with design, or on a court playing racket sports.

Working across all those settings taught him a note can be more than a note. Not a box to tick and forget, but something worth keeping: retrievable, reviewable, and a way to get better as the patterns get clearer across visits. It was on the Tara dental volunteering trip, seeing the problem up close, that he and Emerson started building Chairscribe.

Emerson is where Chairscribe began. He and Kent were both on the Tara dental volunteering trip when they started building it together, between clinics, solving a problem they could both see up close.

He's a grinder and a mad multi-tasker, ten plates spinning, none dropped. And he grew up loving magic, which is exactly how he builds: he cares how software feels, not just how it looks, so a dentist can hand their patients something that looks as sharp as the dentistry does.

Tristan makes Chairscribe feel right in your hands. Six years building software, including Domino’s and Canva, where millions of people use the product daily and it simply has to work.

That taught him "working" and "done right" aren't the same thing. A screen that loads a beat too slow, a flow with one tap too many: close enough is never the bar. His goal is simple, make the app disappear into the background, so you stay with the patient instead of the paperwork.

Richard is a general dentist and leads note generation, making sure the templates hold up in a real appointment. He’s practised for four years across rural clinics, family practices, and now cosmetic dentistry, and tried every other AI note tool along the way. None of them got dentistry. That’s what pulled him in.
